Tanzanian gospel singer, songwriter, and worship minister Mathias Walichupa delivers a powerful new gospel song titled “Nimekupata,” taken from his 2026 EP, My Prayer Points.

“Nimekupata” is a heartfelt worship song centered on finding complete satisfaction, security, and fulfillment in God. Through the song, Mathias reflects on the changing nature of life and relationships while declaring that remaining with Jesus has been one of the greatest decisions of his life.
Inspired by the message of Psalm 91:2, the song presents God as a refuge, source of hope, and dependable companion. Mathias explains through his lyrics that friends and even family members may change or disappear, but God remains present, guiding him and showing him the path he should follow.
The title “Nimekupata,” which translates to “I Have Found You,” captures the central message of the song. For Mathias Walichupa, finding Jesus means finding everything he truly needs, describing life with Christ as complete satisfaction.
“Nimekupata” forms part of Mathias Walichupa’s My Prayer Points EP and combines intimate worship, reflective Swahili lyrics, and an uplifting contemporary gospel sound.
