Tanzanian Catholic choir Kwaya ya Mt. Kizito Makuburi (KMK) delivers a beautiful live performance of the classic Catholic hymn “Nitamhimidi Bwana,” recorded during the KMK Executive Gala 2026 at Blessed Anwarite Parish in Makuburi, Dar es Salaam.

“Nitamhimidi Bwana” was composed by renowned Tanzanian Catholic music composer John Mgandu, with its message inspired by Psalm 34, a scripture centered on praising God, thanksgiving, and trusting Him at all times.
The title translates to “I Will Praise the Lord,” and throughout the song, the choir declares an unwavering commitment to worship God in every season.
The lyrics encourage believers to praise the Lord continually, rejoice in His goodness, seek Him during moments of fear and difficulty, and trust in His ability to save those who call upon Him.
KMK Makuburi brings the composition to life through rich choral harmonies and a powerful live arrangement, creating a worshipful atmosphere that reflects the depth and tradition of Tanzanian Catholic choir music.
The performance was led by conductor Sylivester Mahwahwa, with instrumental support from organists Adrian John, Vinny Mukasa, Colman Ufunguo, and Alphonce Mville.
